Two people confirmed dead and as many 20 people wounded, including 12 years old, after some people opened fire at the teen party in a nightclub in Soutwest, Florida on Monday, July 25. There were three suspects, who are now detained.

14-year-old Sean Achillies and 18-year-old basketball standout at Lehigh Senior High School, Stef'an Strawder during the attack, The News-Press reported. Strawder was shot in his right shoulder when he was on his way out of the night club.

He was confirmed dead at Lee Memorial Hospital at 3:30 a.m. His mother, Stephanie White and father, Sylvester Strawder, rushed him to the hospital. Strawder's 19-year-old sister, Sharrelle, was among the people who were wounded. She suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound to the leg.

After the mass shooting, police detained three "persons of interest", however, it is not clear if they believed to be a shooter. The shooter's identity and motivation are unclear.

The authorities did not clear if the three detained people are the shooters, or only one them and the two were just involved. The attack occurred at a teen event billed as a "Swimsuit Glow Party" at Club Blu in Fort Myers, Fox News reported.

"This was not an act of terror, this was not a terrorist act," said by Interim Fort Myers Police Chief Dennis Eads.

A law enforcement told Fox that the gun shooting was gang-related. The suspect(s) opened fire at the club 12:30 a.m. Monday. Those who were injured in the incident drive themselves to a hospital

The latest shooting in Florida occurred just after a month of terror attack at a nightclub, The Pulse, in Orlando. The gunman who opened fire at The Pulse left 49 dead and 53 people wounded on June 12, that why it is the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history.
