Asus unveiled the ZenFone 3 Laser and ZenFone 3 Max smartphones at an event in Vietnam Thursday, July 14. Both the devices are now official and will hit the shelves in Vietnam soon.

The Taiwanese tech firm has opted to remain mum as far as the devices' availability detail outside Vietname is concerned.

ZenFone 3 Laser - Specs

The ZenFone 3 Laser as well as ZenFone 3 Max both are housed in a metal body and run Zen UI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The ZenFone 3 Laser comes across as a revamped version of the ZenFone 3, and packs enhanced camera features including a second-generation laser autofocus, which apparently focuses in 0.03 seconds. It packs a 13 MP 'PixelMaster' camera coupled with Sony IMX214 sensor with EIS (electronic image stabilization), NDTV Gadgets reported.

The ZenFone 3 Laser features a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 2.5D curved glass. It packs an octa-core processor paired of 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone sports fingerprint scanner and comes with a 32 GB inbuilt storage. It is 7.9mm in terms of thickness. It will be up for grab for VND 5,990,000 (about $268, €241).

Zenfone 3 Max - Specs

The The Zenfone 3 Max boasts a mammoth 4,100 mAh battery; however it's still a step down in comparison to the original Zenfone Max's 5,000 mAh cell, GSM Arena reported.

The Zenfone 3 Max is housed in a metal body as well. Other features include a 5.2-inch IPS LCD touch screen, 32 GB of storage, 3GB of RAM, and fast fingerprint scanner. It will be priced at VND 4,490,000 ($201, €181).

On the specs front, there's not much in terms of details yet, however Zenfone fans can expect more details to surface online eventually.

Though there are very few details about the devices and their specs at this point, more information is likely to surface online in the near future. Interestingly, Asus has started taking its smartphone business quite seriously, especially over the last few years.  The company's investment in smartphones seems to be paying off. though, as Asus was one of the leading phone companies in 2015.

Asus had earlier divulged that it will debut its Zenfone 3 range in India sometime in August.
