"Assassin's Creed" revealed new images of Michael Fassbender from the upcoming adaptation of its blockbuster gaming franchise. Ubisoft and 20th Century Fox's "Assassin's Creed" movie's first image of the "Steve Jobs" actor showed him in a hooded capture.

"Assassin's Creed" movie production shows "X-Men: Apocalypse" actor Fassbender as an alienated and violent drifter named Callum Lynch, who will eventually discover that he descended from Aguilar, a Spanish assassin in the 15th century. The character will then be recruited by a corporation named Abstergo Industries, where he will explore his ancestral memories through a device called Animus, Empire Online reported.

The "Assassin's Creed" movie's main character Callum Lynch will train to gain the skills of a master assassin to fight the Templars. Templars are the assassins' age-old nemeses; which group will go into a battle for the future of humanity.

Another "Macbeth" actor Fassbender image showed him wearing less clothing and fighting with the Abstergo goons, while another image depicted the Inquisition army led by Javier Gutierrez as Tomas de Torquemada.

Australian director Justin Kurzel has said that the idea that the characters will be made-up of who comes before them with the DNA from ancestors carried within is a fresh and original idea, W3 Live News reported.

"Assassin's Creed" movie main character Fassbender previously said that he thought there was a great cinematic story in the ethos behind the game, but the idea of assassins and Templar is not like the "Star Wars" franchise where one has the light and the dark side.

The "Assassin's Creed" movie adaptation release date was initially rumored to happen in the summer of August 2015. However, it was later on confirmed to be out in the United Kingdom on Dec. 26. "MacBeth" actor Marion Cotillard, "The Lobster" Ariane Labed, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Jeremy Irons and "Calvary" Brendan Gleeson will also be in the film.

"Assassin's Creed" movie's first trailer featured an overview of the story, introducing the style and tone that Kurzel and Fassbender have selected. Watch the trailer here.
