Microsoft is about on its final month of free Windows 10 upgrade, but what are the pros and cons of upgrading the Windows OS?

After Microsoft introduced the concept of the whole new Windows 8 in 2012, there's so much hype because of its new UI and features. But apparently, things did not go so well for their users as it causes countless types of bugs and complications. Same goes for Windows 8.1 in 2014 as well.

After the disappointment in 8 and 8.1, Microsoft has promised to refurbish their credibility with the release of Windows 10 in 2015, ComputerworldUK reported.

According to reports, Microsoft is mixing the concept of the two previous OS (7 and 8) to form Windows 10 which turns out to be a boom to the mass. To avoid the hitches they have encountered in Windows 8 and 8.1, Microsoft has offered the beta version of the all new Windows 10 to their subscribers. They are also offering free upgrade, regardless of the previous version of windows you have, for a limited time only.

For those who are planning on upgrading their system to Windows 10, you may need to consider these pros and cons of this new operating system.

Microsoft created Windows 10 to correct most (if not) all of their mistakes in Windows 8 and 8.1. This time 10 is more simplified, removing the unnecessary features and bringing back one of the favorites, the start-up menu button. It also features Cortana this time, the Microsoft version of Apple's Siri and google and provides the same functions to the desktop. If you're a gamer, 10 is a perfect fit for you.

Windows 10 now supports Microsoft's DirectX 12 graphic interface designed to boost gaming speed and consistency as well as the power consumption. Having a Microsoft account is now optional in Windows 10 so that it is more efficient for users during log in. It also have all new task view and separate tablet mode features which are beneficiary to people who tend to open more windows but keeping it more organized and to those who are using hybrid devices respectively, Mirror reported.

Windows 10, however, faces major issue on privacy concerns. As Microsoft may try to pry data out of their users. Things may also not going too well with 10 running on old computers because of their older designs which don't necessarily complement on newer version of operating systems.
