Blizzard honors the heroic deed of a 20-year-old Chinese kid through "Overwatch".

There are group of heroes in "Overwatch" who works together to protect the world from evil. As Blizzard Entertainment remembers a Chinese fan who died while doing the same. Because of his heroic act, the developer dedicates the new in-game tribute to the brave fan.

Chinese "Overwatch" fan died a hero after a tragic accident as he tried to chase the stolen motorcycle of his classmate. According to the report, Wu Hongyu, 20 years old and a student at Guangdong University of Technology in Guangzhou, China, witnessed the incident of someone was stealing the motorcycle owned by his classmate. He then quickly got into his own bike and try to pursue the thief but the heavy collision between the two bikes, in where he receive severe injuries, leads to his sudden death at the hospital. The police then arrested the alleged bandit. To tribute Wu's good deed and courage, the government of Guangzhou subsequently gave Him a "Courageous Citizen" award.

Wu is a big fan of the Blizzard Entertainment game, "Overwatch" and had been greatly anticipating the release of the game, according to the gathered screenshot of the conversation between Wu and his friends via group chat. Wu died on the 23rd of May, the day before the game's release.

A reference to Wu Hongyu is now on the Lijang Tower map and as for His "Overwatch" tribute, the Blizzard Entertainment created a spacesuit display of Wu which can be found on Lijang Tower that contains his name and a special message above his name reads as "Heroes never die", all written in Chinese character.

Report says that Wu was so enthusiastic about the release and is a frequent topic among him and his friends. Blizzard did a great job on doing these kind of tributes from their fans, though it may be small but it's a very touching move that will forever commemorate the courageous kid who has done the right thing. Blizzard is not new to this tributes. For in fact, they had done it a multiple times now over the years, their games like World of Warcraft, is filled with tributes to their dead players, coming in a lot of forms.
