When it comes to Android 7.0 Nougat update, HTC Android comes the first. In fact, the HTC Android update schedule is always ahead of Samsung's. For instance, the previous Android Marshmallow update was first received by HTC One M9. This year, HTC announced Android Nougat update for HTC 10, HTC One M9 and HTC One A9.

The latest news on Android Update for Samsung came from AT&T carrier which announced Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6 and Edge Plus can now receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, University Herald reported. Apart from that, Samsung has been very quiet on Android Nougat update for their flagships.

The first update to Android Nougat for Samsung could likely arrive in early 2017. Previously, Samsung Android update came to Galaxy Note 5 on March this year. And given the time frame, Samsung smartphone users might have to wait for next year to enjoy the sweet Android Nougat features. Probably, Galaxy S7 gets the first to experience the newest Android OS.

Google Nexus Phone 2016 and other Nexus phones

HTC Marlin and HTC Sailfish will run Android Nougat and the other Nexus smartphones could get the Android Nougat features right after both Nexus HTC smartphones release, probably sometime in December this year.

LG Android OS Update

The Android OS Update for LG first landed on its LG G4 device in December 2015 - running Android Marshmallow. LG smartphones might be able to get android OS update in December this year.

Android Nougat features

Some of the smartphones to run Android Nougat include Huawei Mate line which is rumored to be launched this year. As for the Huawei Mate 8 and P9 Android update, it will likely to happen on December as well.
