In the configuration of a set of specifications, the upcoming Google Nexus smartphone has leaked online.

These specs show the devices of the consumer electronics company HTC with modest abilities. The talked about device would more than likely replace the smaller of the two smartphones in Google's stores - Nexus 5X. The upcoming Google Nexus smartphone would be the most basic of the gadgets a person could purchase direct from Google.

The next Google Nexus smartphone is said to be named as "Sailfish," as the tradition of all Nexus smartphones were given a code name after sea creatures, Android Police reported.

While the processor has not been specified, here are some of the specs included in Google Nexus smartphone - "Sailfish."

• Display: 5 in. 1080p (~440PPI)

• RAM: 4 gigabyte

• Battery: 2770mAh

• 32GB storage internal storage

• Camera: 12MP rear, 8MP front

• Top-mounted headphone jack

• Connectivity: Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C port

However, besides "Sailfish," the other 2016 Nexus phone is apparently codenamed "Marlin." And the upcoming Google Nexus smartphones will use a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, Know Your Mobile reported.

If these currently circulating stories will turn out well, it will mean that the latest Nexus smartphones in 2016 will be more powerful than nearly all company's current core products on the market, as all the current flagships made an effective use of the Snapdragon 820.

Experts said that one device of the latest Nexus smartphones will have a 5-inch display, while the other one will have a 5.5 inch display, Idigital Times reported.

The pricing of the Google Nexus smartphones has not been confirmed at the moment.

In addition, it has been said that  "Galaxy Note 7" will also use the Snapdragon 821 CPU. There were no specific details regarding the new chipset, but it has been claimed that the installed KRYO processors will be clocked at a higher speed - 2.3GHz vs 2.15GHz.
