The Montana State University and men's head basketball coach, Brad Huse, have mutually agreed on a two-year contract extension. The contract, which is yet to be officially confirmed by the state Board of Regents, will retain Huse for the eighth and ninth seasons of Bobcats.

The last season marked the final year of a three-year contract extension, which was signed in 2010. He is claimed to have earned $113,824 in the 2012-13 season.

Bobcats scored 13-17 last year and 10-10 in the Big Sky Conference, securing No. 4 seed in the Big Sky Conference postseason tournament.

Huse's seven seasons went for 93-117 overall, a success rate of .443. and 55-61 in league games, a success rate of .474.

Under Huse, Bobcats qualified for the conference tournament for straight seven seasons and once for league championship game, 2009. However, they haven't yet made an NCAA tournament appearance since 1996.

Apart from Huse, Montana's Wayne Tinkle and Weber State's Randy Rahe have competed in the Big Sky tournament for the past seven seasons.

Huse started his career with Montana State's basketball program, April 4, 2006, becoming the university's 21st head coach. He was named the conference coach of the year three times at the NAIA level and a Division I assistant.

Previously, he served as the head coach at Jamestown (N.D.) College and had two-year spells as an assistant under Mick Durham at Montana State (1994-96) and Montana (2004-06).

During Huse's initial stay at Montana State, Bobcats won some significant titles and posted brilliant scores. The team scored its first 20-win after nearly a decade in the 1994-95 season, posted a 21-9 record, and won the Big Sky regular season title and the Big Sky tourney title.
