Donald Glover was confirmed joined the "Spider-Man: Homecoming," and fans are hopeful he will play the role of Miles Morales.

After #donaldforspiderman had trend online, finally, fans' request seems granted as Glover will join the cast "Spider-Man: Homecoming," which will be helmed by Jon Watts, slated for July 2017, Deadline reported,however, no one from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios reveal what would be his role for the upcoming reboot flick.

Glover was the voice actor for Miles Morales or the black Spider-Man. In comic book story, Miles is a teenager of Black Hispanic descent. This character appeared in Ultimate Marvel, an imprint that features re-imagined and updated versions of the company's superhero characters, with a separate continuity from the Ultimate Universe.

Aside from Glover, Martin Starr will also star in the film. Just like "Magic Mike XXL" star, Starr's role remains a mystery. Logan Marshall-Green is still in talks to join the film and some reports suggest he may land on "villainous role," no details have been mentioned about who is the character he will be playing.

Before Glover was announced joined the reboot "Spider-Man," movie, he was reported sought to play the superhero role. Since Tom Holland was confirmed will play Peter Parker/Spider-man role, there might be no Miles Morales in the film.

Holland as Spider-Man was introduced in "Captain America: Civil War. Aside from him, Aunt May Parker, played by Marisa Tomei, also appeared in the "Captain America" movie.

Other stars of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" are Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man, Zendaya as Michelle, Michael Keaton as The Vulture, and Tony Revolori as Manuel.

Laura Harrier, Michael Barbieri, and Donald Glover's roles are not yet revealed.

Meanwhile, Glover will debut his new music at Joshua Tree shows this fall, Complex reported. "The Martian" star has introduced his music app called Pharos Earth through Twitter.
