More than 80 percent of Facebook and Google's employees graduated from the top 200 schools in the United States.

As a matter of fact, more than 50 percent of Facebook employees came from a top 10 college, and their credentials were taken from a sample of public profiles in the business-oriented social networking service - LinkedIn.

While under 50 percent of the Amazon staff were employed from colleges outside the top 100 of Forbes' list of the top institutions in the United States. And less than 10 percent of which are from a top 10 college, Times Higher Education reported

The employment data suggest that the time has changed, as a graduate's alma mater does not necessarily push around the firms that will consider hiring them, from the "Welcome to the Real World" by With My Degree.

It also resulted in breaking down the top colleges in sending alumni into various companies. But, most graduates that are currently working in technology came from Stanford University, while Purdue University - Indiana, talk with excessive pride that there are significant numbers, and leads the way for their graduates employed in the automotive sector.

The image messaging and multimedia mobile app - Snapchat, was offering Stanford University graduates a salary ranging from $100,000 to $150,000 and $400,000 in stock grants vested in four years.

But, this year, Snapchat's offers are smaller, finishing students are granted no more than $300,000 in stock, Slate reported.

However, the University of Phoenix, known for offering degrees online and on campus, is one of the top 5 universities for producing graduates with careers in technology, banking and finance, aerospace, and military careers.

That being said, a college in California or New York is a good choice for students aspiring to make it in the entertainment industry. As three of the five schools with the most graduates have paid employment in TV, movies or music, are based in California, in New York and in Florida.
