Microsoft delays the release of Surface Pro 5 because it will be using the latest Intel processor, Kaby Lake. It will also sport powerful RAM and GPU and other new features.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) plans to announce its next generation Surface Pro in mid-2016, but fans might wait a little longer. An anonymous source told The Country Caller that news are spreading around that Microsoft Surface Pro will be powered by the processor for the next generation of Intel, called "Kaby Lake". However, Intel plans to launch Kaby Lake by early 2017 which only mean that Microsoft will also wait until the release of Kaby Lake, which is the main reason why Microsoft Corporation is willing to delay its release.

Though,  there are still no certainties if these rumors are true, the thing is, once Microsoft decides to be driven by an Intel Kaby Lake then Microsoft Corporation fans are assured that the delay will be worthwhile. Microsoft Corporation also guarantees that Kaby Lake will make Surface Pro 5 a lot better compared to the former, Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Though Surface Pro 4 has received positive feedbacks, some aspect of the Surface Pro 4 failed to meet the standards of the people. But Kaby Lake processor ensures the fans that this shortcoming will be avoided once the Surface Pro 5 will be released.

Surface Pro 5 is also speculated to feature a powerful 16 GB RAM that will make it twice faster than Surface Pro 4. Surface Pro 5 will also feature the latest NVidia or AMD GPU, a fast charging USB type-C port and a fingerprint reader and also an inbuilt charging dock for the included stylus, Tech Advisor reported.

Even after hearing that the Microsoft's biggest rival- Apple is set to launch its next generation MacBook Pro, still, Microsoft would wait until early-2017 to release Surface Pro 5 with Intel Kaby Lake as the processor. Through Kaby Lake processor, Microsoft believes that Surface Pro 5 will be a huge hit and it will definitely be worth the wait
