CD Projekt Red, developer of 'Witcher 3', has promised to produce a patch to fix the game's 'Blood and Wine' expansion pack as soon as possible after being flooded with complaints from disgruntled gamers.

Marcin Momot, CD's community manager, made the announcement via Twitter. He said they were quickly working on the latest patch which would solve the game's "major reported issues". However, aside from saying they would fix the bug which prevented players from locking their camera on enemies, he did not list down the other glitches the latest patch would address.

He also did not disclose the reported release of the patch.

While 'The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine' expansion pack has been effusively praised for its beautiful design and gameplay, gamers also reported several in-game bugs.

A comprehensive list of the bugs can be seen in the online gaming community forum NeoGAF.

Among others, the glitches included:

• NPCs (Non-player characters) spamming their normal chatter
• Cutscene graphics errors
• Character design bugs
• In-game quest crashes
• Enemies unable to be killed
• Failure to load and progress in-game

'The Witcher 3' is part of the hugely successfully 'The Witcher' video game franchise. It tells the story of Geralt of Rivia, the main character whose profession as a 'Witcher'- a superhuman endowed with special abilities-leads him to battle with monsters and otherworldly beings in a medieval fantasy setting.

Aside from the graphics, the game has also been drawing raves for its gameplay and storyline. Players are regularly made to make moral choices which are not as black-and-white as other traditional games.

CD Projekt has so far released three main games and several expansion and DLC packs.

The 'Blood and Wine' expansion pack is the latest for 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt'. The game can be played with Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
