After 16 years of hiatus, the legendary first generation group Sechs Kies make ways for their first comeback, news broke out when it was revealed that YG Entertainment gave them an exclusive contract similar and patterned to the one signed by BIGBANG.
According to Soompi report, YG Entertainment representative has revealed that Sechs Kies signed a contract that was pattered to the same contract conditions signed by BIGBANG. A decade after since BIGBANG has debuted and they have signed with YG thrice. This fact suggests that their contract is where Sechs Kies' was based.
The representative shared, the Sechs Kies members did not have a lot of other opinions and in just an hour they did sign the contract. No one can refute that the brother-in-law of CEO Yang Hyun Suk, Lee Jae Jin being had influenced the decision. Yang Hyun Suk has been married to the younger sister of Lee Jae Jin, Soompi reported.
Last May 11, YG Entertainment made an announcement that the members aside from Go Ji Young, who became a businessman, have signed a contract that will permit them to hold possible performances and potentially release albums, Soompi added.
The group started in 1997 and had several hit songs including "Chilvalry," "Couple" and more. The group disbanded on 2000. They reunited and performed for the first time after 16 years through Infinite Challenge, the report said.
