Once Beyoncé provides you lemons, you submit it for Emmy consideration.

HBO is considering to submit the music special to the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' annual awards show hoping it will get as much love from TV critic as it has from music critics.

The network responsible for iconic shows like "Game of Thrones," "The Sopranos" and "Sex and the City" has not decided yet if they will submit the names of Melina Matsoukas, Todd Tourso, Dikayl Rimmasch, Jonas Akerlund and Mark Romanek to the awards committee as they are only attributed as "additional directors" in the video's credits. What is sure is Kahlil Joseph and Beyonce will be in the nominating package as they are the main directors of the music film.

According to Variety, the special is also possibly in the running for the lighting, style and direction categories for TV specials.

The film's accompanying album has been praised by celebrities and music fans since its release. The Hollywood Life reports that the collection has shot to the top spot of music charts in over 25 countries in the 24 hours following the end of the HBO special. The album was first teased in February with the release of the politically-charged "Formation," which Beyonce performed in the Superbowl 50 halftime show with Bruno Mars and Coldplay.

Beyoncé has been previously nominated for Emmys for her "On the Run Tour" concert special with Jay Z, also with HBO, and her own Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show performance spectacle in 2013 where she sang a medley of her solo and Destiny's Child hits.

In a press release, the Television Academy confirmed that this year's announcement of nominees is expected in July 14. The ceremony will be held in and aired live from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on September 18, 8 PM ET. Jimmy Kimmel is returning as host.
