To mark the passing of the underclassman declaration deadline and the start of Senior Bowl week, ESPN's Todd McShay unveiled an updated Top 32.

Unlike a mock draft, the Top 32 (Big Board) ranks the players available in the draft based solely on their overall evaluations. In a mock draft, there are team needs and other factors to consider.

In McShay's case, the top player for both his first mock draft and Big Board is Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa. The highly touted pass rusher will probably stay there throughout, though he should not be considered a lock to be drafted first overall.

Bosa's Ohio State teammates dominated McShay's Big Board, and could well litter the first round of the NFL Draft. For example, McShay ranked three Buckeyes in his top 32 who he also projected to go in the first round.

But the biggest surprise on McShay's Big Board was North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz' emergence at 17th overall. Despite playing in the FCS, Wentz is expected to be seriously considered among the best QB prospects during pre-draft activities.

The first such activity is the Senior Bowl, where many an NFL scout will reportedly pay close attention to Wentz. McShay highlighted some of the reasons for the hype: "great size, big-time arm and terrific mobility" as well as experience in an NFL-style system.

But NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah reported this is nothing new to many who have been following Wentz.

The Senior Bowl's director, Phil Savage, told NFL.com Wentz could be taken within the first 10 picks. McShay previously projected Wentz going to the Cardinals 30th overall, and his colleague, Mel Kiper, predicted the Texans would take him 22nd overall.
