The College Football Playoff revealed the four newest members of the selection committee.

Headlining the group is Lloyd Carr, who ranks third all time in Michigan football history with 122 wins as head coach. Carr won five Big Ten Championships and one national title at Michigan and was named to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011.

Also joining the selection committee is Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens. The school states Mullens has helmed Oregon's athletic department in "one of the most successful eras" in school history.

The CFP named former SMU head football coach Jeff Bower to the selection committee. Bower led the Mustangs to 119-83-1 record from 1990 to 2007, winning four C-USA titles and the conference's Coach of the Decade honor for the 1990s.

Rounding out the group is Herb Deromedi, whose entire coaching and athletic administration career took place at Central Michigan. After serving as an assistant from 1967 to 1977, Deromedi coached the team from 1978 to 1993, winning 110 games. He was then named athletic director in 1994 and kept that job until 2006. He was named to the College Football Hall of Fame the next year.

They are replacing Mike Gould, Pat Haden, Tom Osborne, and Mike Tranghese, according to ESPN.

"We are delighted that Jeff, Lloyd, Herb and Rob are joining the committee," CFP executive director Bill Hancock said in a news release. "Throughout the selection process, it was essential that the four new members have an in-depth knowledge and passion for college football. Each of these four fit that description perfectly. They will continue the high integrity of the committee."
