The TCU Horned Frogs (11) may be without quarterback Trevone Boykin against the Oregon Ducks (15), but neither side anticipates much changing in the matchup.

A senior for TCU, Boykin's collegiate career ended unceremoniously when he was suspended following an arrest on a charge of assaulting a public servant. But TCU has played without Boykin once before, and the Frogs could draw on that game for their matchup with the Ducks.

In a week 11 30-29 loss to Oklahoma TCU nearly mounted a fourth quarter comeback while Boykin sat out with an injury. Down 30-13, QB Bram Kohlhausen helped TCU score 16 unanswered points, and completed five passes in 11 attempts with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

TCU and Oregon ranked third and fourth, respectively, in the nation in average yards per game. With the exception of the Oklahoma game, TCU depended heavily on Boykin for his arm and his legs. But Oregon ranked fifth in the nation with an average of 287.8 rushing yards per game, thanks to their dynamic tandem of running back Royce Freeman and quarterback Vernon Adams Jr.

After starting 3-3, Oregon finished its season 6-0, including wins over USC and Stanford, whereas TCU suffered its two losses in its last four games. Oregon may be the hotter team with an upper hand, but the Ducks are not changing their preparation for TCU.

"Our players have seen the film," Oregon defensive coordinator Don Pellum told the team's official website. "These guys are really good. You miss a tackle, it's a touchdown, regardless of which guy it is. We'll have to play a great game on defense, and that's our goal."
