Two of the most interesting transfer quarterbacks this offseason in college football will be Kyler Murray and Will Grier.

Though they will almost certainly have to sit out a season, they have multiple years of eligibility and high upside. But unlike their fellow transfer QBs, Kyle Allen and Trevor Knight, their potential destinations are far from decided.

Texas emerged immediately as a potential landing spot for Murray because the Longhorns recruited him and are among the many teams that could use a young, exciting dual-threat passer. However, both Orangebloods and Burnt Orange Nation learned Texas is not interested in adding him.

Murray's skill set and eligibility could make him a fit at Oklahoma, where his former teammate Kyle Allen is reportedly interested in transferring. There is nothing tying Murray to Oklahoma, but he is a natural fit for the Sooners for the same reasons Allen is. Also in need of a QB for the future are a pair of Texas A&M's division rivals who reportedly reached out to Allen, LSU and Auburn.

Murray could also ditch the Big 12 and SEC all together and go out west. His speed and athleticism would be an asset in a fast-paced offense like Oregon's.

Will Grier's transfer is much more murky, because he is serving a performance enhancing drug suspension that would have kept him out through week six if he stayed at Florida. Wherever he goes, SEC Nation pointed out he will have to sit those six games even if he transfers to an FCS school.

Addressing Grier's transfer with the website, Florida head football coach Jim McElwain emphasized he did not pressure his former starting QB to leave Gainesville. He also indicated he "signed off" on SEC schools when releasing Grier from his scholarship, meaning LSU and Auburn could be on Grier's list, as they are in a different SEC division.
