Ranked first in the nation and undefeated, the Michigan State Spartans are looking to keep their foot on the pedal as they prepare for the Florida Gators and for their conference schedule to start.

Purdue has been keeping pace with Michigan State at 10-0 and Maryland is just a step behind at 8-1. Florida may well be the Spartans' last tough nonconference opponent before playing Iowa later this month.

Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET in East Lansing, Mich.

Michigan State is favored by a -9.5 spread.

Saturday's game is the Spartans' last home nonconference matchup, and head coach Tom Izzo wants to make sure his squad makes it count.

"The party is over now," he said in his weekly press conference, according to ESPN. "The next three games are going to get tougher and tougher.

"That kind of tells you as good a statement about what kind of team we've got as anything."
