By the time the Ole Miss Rebels (18) start their game with the Mississippi State Bulldogs (21), they should know if they are playing to win the SEC West.

Thanks to their week three upset over Alabama, Ole Miss holds a tiebreaker advantage over the Tide. Their three losses may keep them out of the College Football Playoff (CFP), but Ole Miss stealing the SEC West from Alabama would certainly throw a wrench into the machine.

Alabama kicks off with Auburn about four hours earlier 240 miles to the west, in Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala. for the Iron Bowl. But the Rebels are not concerning themselves with anything but the Bulldogs.

The one player the Rebels will concern themselves above the rest will be Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott, who will be playing his final home game. Prescott has 32 total touchdowns, down from last year, but he is taking better care of the ball in the passing game.   

Prescott is completing about two-thirds of his passes and has only committed three interceptions.

"They have one of the most tremendous leaders we have seen in this conference on their team in Dak Prescott," Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said in his weekly press conference. "He is a great player, great leader, a winner and he will compete at a high level. He gives that offense a chance to be really successful and special at times. His receiving corps is very talented. They are very similar to us. They are probably as talented of a receiving corps as we have faced."
