Police are investigating an alleged rape that took place at a house where two University of Nebraska (UN) football players live, but it is unclear if they were involved in any way.

Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. and wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp live in the house, but police interviewed tight end Trey Foster as well, The Omaha World-News reported. Armstrong told the newspaper he and Westerkamp spoke to police as well.

At his weekly press conference Tuesday, UN head football coach Mike Riley said he is holding off on potential team discipline until more details are available.

"I'm like all of you - I'm interested in where we're going and what's going to be found," The World-News quoted Riley telling reporters. "I know the process is ongoing, and the right people are taking care of that."

Riley also indicated he would have little-to-no involvement in the matter since the UN administration and law enforcement would be handling the investigation. All three players remain active for the Cornhuskers' game on Saturday against the undefeated Iowa Hawkeyes.

According to The Lincoln Star-Journal, a 20-year-old woman said she was sexually assaulted at the football players' house when she was admitted to a hospital on Sunday afternoon. Officer Katie Flood told the newspaper the woman identified her attacker and that police have contacted the suspect.

At his press conference, Riley stated he learned about the report earlier that morning and indicated he would have liked to have known about it earlier.

"We are currently cooperating with law enforcement officials and the University's Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance," the UN athletic department said in a statement, according to ESPN. "We will have no further comment at this time."

Lancaster County Attorney Joe Kelly told The Omaha World-News there have not been any arrests or citations made.

"It's just early," he said. "There's no way to tell what's going to happen."
