Mike Krzyzewski topped off his top-flight 2016 recruiting class with arguably the number-one high school prospect in the nation.

Harry Giles, a five-star power forward from Winston Salem, N.C., verbally committed on Friday to play basketball at Duke University, ESPN reported. Giles narrowed his decision to Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and Wake Forest.

Giles announced his verbal commitment the day after his father, Harry Jr., confirmed to ESPN his son "partially" tore his right ACL. Giles tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus in his left knee, but recovered from that injury before suffering the latest one.

After Giles' recruitment, ESPN bumped Duke's 2016 recruiting class from second in their class rankings to first, surpassing Michigan State. Duke now has the top two prospects ranked on the 2016 ESPN 100 and four of the list's Top 50.

Giles will join small forward Jayson Tatum, shooting guard Frank Jackson, and power forward Javin DeLaurier to form a powerhouse freshman core next season. Seeing how Duke won the National Championship with three freshmen leading the team, the 2016 class is understandably excited to get on the court together.

"We were roommates in USA Basketball this past season," Tatum told ESPN. "When you spend over 30 days together, you either grow closer or apart. We got closer."
