Despite remaining undefeated by handily beating Penn State 38-10, Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer is rethinking his quarterback depth again.

According to ESPN, Meyer addressed the matter during his weekly news conference on Monday, promising another formal announcement of who will start at quarterback for the Buckeyes. Ohio State plays Rutgers on the road this Saturday.

"I've not had a chance to sit down with the quarterbacks formally and review everything, and that will happen today, I imagine," Meyer told reporters. "I do media stuff every day, so tomorrow I'll [address it]. I'm not keeping anything from anybody."

Coming off his best game of the season against Maryland, Jones threw for 84 yards against Penn State and completed nine passes in 15 attempts. Ohio State's QB battle has mostly been overshadowed by a dominant rushing attack and this week was no different, though J.T. Barrett may finally have done enough to take the starting role for himself.

Barrett completed all four of his passing attempts and two were touchdowns, but he also ran for 102 yards on 11 attempts and added two more scores on the ground. Meyer made Jones his starting quarterback to open the season and affirmed his decision about a month ago, Barrett had not enough to claim the starting role.

"He certainly had his opportunity [to win the job] earlier in the year and did not do it during training camp," Meyer said of Barrett. "But anybody who watched the games the last two weeks when he gets in - I think we're doing a good job calling things that he's good at - but I see the same thing that you see."
