If a picturesque campus helps students relax, then these schools warrant extra consideration during the college selection process.
Many schools on The Princeton Review's "Most Beautiful Campus" list appeared on the same one a year ago, but in different positions. For example, Rollins College jumped from sixth a year ago to top the ranking. Meanwhile, Colgate University fell from first to ninth.
Like last year, schools in coastal cities and towns tended to be ranked higher, with the landlocked Colgate serving as an exception. Studies have shown the adverse effects of academic pressure college students sometimes feel, especially around the end of a semester.
Some schools will offer free massages or play time with therapy animals, but these campuses have beautiful spots to just sit and unwind built right in.

8. Florida Southern College
Location: Lakeland, Fla.
Acceptance rate: 45 percent
9. Colgate

Acceptance rate: 27 percent
10. Bennington College
Location: Bennington, Vt.
Acceptance rate: 72 percent
