Four people were shot near the University of Maryland's Baltimore (UMB) campus late Tuesday night, but the shooters were not apprehended.

According to the Baltimore Sun, the Baltimore Police responded to the shooting on Fayette St., only a few blocks from UMB. Police said two light vans pulled over to the victims around 10:55 p.m. and two gunmen shot two men and two women.

One of the men died at the scene, while the other man and one of the women died at the hospital. The other woman is in stable condition with a gunshot wound in her back, the Associated Press reported. UMB alerted the campus of the shooting around 11:30 p.m., but did not state whether or not the victims had any affiliation to the school.

"Police advise you to use caution in the area," the school said in its alert. "Remain aware of your surroundings at all times. To request a walking escort or to report any suspicious activity, call UMB Police."

The Baltimore Police responded to a shooting on July 2 in which shooter(s) fired into a vehicle around the same area as Tuesday night's incident, the Sun reported. The gunmen in the latest shooting remain at large and it is unclear if police have any suspects or persons of interest.
