The College Football Playoff (CFP) unveiled start times for this season's semifinal games in addition to other premier bowl games.

According to the Associated Press, the CFP announced Tuesday the first semifinal game will start at 4 p.m. ET and the second game will begin at 8 p.m. ET. The sites for the semifinals will be the Orange Bowl, in Miami, and the Cotton Bowl, in Dallas.

The CFP will decide on the games' order when they set their pairings on Dec. 6.

Last year, the Rose and Sugar Bowls hosted the first ever college football playoff matchups to precede the National Championship. The playoff system worked as well, earning ESPN record television ratings.

Sliding into the fourth and final spot in the final week of the regular season, Ohio State took down the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide and the second-ranked Oregon Ducks to claim the title.

Whereas last season's semifinal games were played on Jan. 1, this year's are scheduled for Dec. 31. Also being played on New Year's Eve will be the Peach Bowl, which has a noon ET start time. For New Year's Day, the CFP scheduled the Fiesta Bowl for 1 p.m. ET, the Rose Bowl for 5 p.m. ET and the Sugar Bowl for 8:30 p.m. ET.

The National Championship Game is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 11 at 8:30 p.m. ET at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

The CFP is currently accepting bids from U.S. cities for future national title games. The 2017 game is scheduled to take place in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., but the following three years are up for bid.

Per a CFP news release, the leaders for the next three years are as follows:

2018: Atlanta, Santa Clara, Houston and South Florida

2019: Santa Clara, Charlotte, Detroit, Houston, New Orleans and San Antonio

2020: Santa Clara, Charlotte, Houston, Minnesota, New Orleans and San Antonio
