Darian Dailey, a cornerback on the Rutgers University football team, was arrested Sunday alongside a man named Trazelle Johnson in Manatee County, Fla. on robbery charges.

According to the Sarasota County Herald-Tribune, Dailey, a 19-year-old Bradenton resident, and Johnson, a 20-year-old from Sarasota, left the victim unharmed but apparently brandished a handgun in the incident. The two men reportedly stopped their car as they were driving down University Parkway and stopped a man riding a bicycle and demanded he give them his money.

Dailey and Johnson were arrested later Sunday on charges of robbery with a firearm before being booked at Manatee County Jail on bond of $150,000. The victim reported the vehicle's tag information after the robbery and later positively identified both men. Though Dailey and Johnson share the same charge it is unclear which one (or if both) held the gun.

"We are aware of the situation and are gathering facts," Rutgers head football coach Kyle Flood said in a statement obtained by ABC News affiliate WFTS. "Once those facts are gathered, we will take the appropriate action."

As NJ.com reported, a firearm possession charge could result in a minimum prison sentence of 10 years when compounded with robbery.

Flood dismissed quarterback Philip Nelson from the team when he was arrested for first- and third-degree assault last May. That Aug., wide receiver Ruhann Peele was arrested for simple assault. In Nov., Flood suspended him for the remainder of the season before reinstating the wideout in Jan. when the charged were dropped the previous month.

In both Nelson and Peele's cases, NJ.com noted, Flood delayed his decision on the player's status with the team until further details were released.
