The Kappa Delta Rho fraternity chapter at Penn State University's (PSU) is facing a suspension over two Facebook pages containing photos of nude unconscious women.

According to the Daily Collegian, the PSU Interfraternity Council (IFC) confirmed the chapter's suspension Monday night. Rick Groves, the IFC's president, said the suspension is a formality at this point and will last at least the duration of the investigation.

"It is IFC policy to immediately suspend activity at any chapter undergoing an investigation," he said. "This is both to ensure an unhindered investigation and to prevent chapters from committing further wrongdoings."

Participating in the investigation will be the university and the Kappa Delta Rho national office. Groves said the Facebook pages also showed possible evidence of hazing taking place, in addition to the explicit images of women.

"Not only to determine potential victims, potential suspects, but also to sanction the fraternity for their conduct," State College Police Lt. Keith Robb told WPXI.

NBC affiliate WJAC reported obtaining the search warrant allowing the police to review the private Facebook pages. The news station said one page, titled "Covert Business Transactions" was apparently taken down when a victim learned about it. Still another cropped up, this one titled "2.0."

"In response to the discovery of the two Facebook pages allegedly hosted by Kappa Delta Rho, the chapter was immediately placed on full chapter suspension by Penn State's Interfraternity Council," the IFC said in a statement. "Upon completion of all investigation into this matter, Kappa Delta Rho will be summoned by the IFC to undergo a conduct review session."
