Police have arrested four Wesleyan University students on charges related to the MDMA overdose incident involving 10 other students and two visitors of the Middletown, Conn. school.

According to the Wesleyan Argus, Middletown Police Chief William McKenna announced the arrests in a Tuesday evening press conference. Later that night, Wesleyan President Michael Roth said in an email to the campus community that only two of the 12 people who overdosed are still hospitalized.

"We have obtained arrest warrants for four Wesleyan University students on charges related to or associated with the recent campus incidents," McKenna said in his statement. "All four have been taken into custody as of 8 p.m. this evening. Four search and seizure warrants have also been obtained from the court and have been executed at certain locations at and around the campus."

Per NBC Connecticut, the four students arrested are Eric Lonergan, 21; Andrew Olson, 20; Zachary Kramer, 21; and Rama Agha Al Nakib, 20. They are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday and have been suspended from Wesleyan, pending a hearing. They are also scheduled to appear in a Superior Court on March 3.

NBC Connecticut listed all the charges against the four students in detail, but all were related to drug possession and/or distribution.

Roth had previously emailed the campus community seeking help in identifying those responsible for supplying the party drug more commonly known as Molly, the Argus reported. Police believed the 12 people had a "bad batch," as two were taken to Hartford Hospital early Sunday via airlift and placed in critical condition.

Roth's latest email indicates that those are the two still in the hospital, but he said their condition is improving.

"I am pleased to report that the two students who remain at Hartford Hospital have made progress," Roth's email read. "We continue to be hopeful about their recovery, and we ask you to keep them in your thoughts and prayers."
