An emerging cloud-based education management solutions provider will help colleges and universities combat hazing and other student harassment issues with the launch of Safe Campus Community Support Center.

Greenwood Hall Inc.'s center is a complete solution that provides campus communities with the ability to anonymously report and discuss concerns relating to violence, discrimination, sexual assault, bullying and other unethical behaviors.

The center will provide a secure platform for students, faculty and school employees to obtain information, seek counseling and referrals to campus and other outside resources, as well as anonymously inform university officials of inappropriate or unlawful conduct that jeopardizes the safety and well-being of individuals and the entire campus community.

"Hazing and other types of campus harassment can hurt a school's morale, reputation and enrollment, as well as jeopardize a student's ability to succeed," Dr. John Hall, CEO of Greenwood Hall, said in a statement. "Data show that three out of five college students are subjected to hazing and half of them experienced some form of harassment in high school. We believe that Greenwood Hall's solution not only provides a platform for colleges and universities to proactively demonstrate their commitment to campus safety, it also creates a more positive learning environment, furthering our overall mission of improving student outcomes by helping eliminate barriers to success."

Processes, procedures, protocols and training for Greenwood Hall's Safe Campus Community Support Center will be developed by licensed counseling professionals, anti-violence advocates, college administrators and legal professionals. Each hotline solution will be fully branded and designed to meet each school's unique requirements and needs.

Similar support programs already are being implemented by Greenwood Hall at select schools. Available to college and university clients in the second quarter of this year, the Safe Campus Community Support Center also gives school partners the option to expand their hotline solutions by providing other student and community support services.
