With no ambiguity about it, the Kentucky Wildcats are the Associated Press' top team in week five, grabbing each and every one of the 64 first-place votes.

Kentucky is coming off a 63-51 win over Texas, who dropped from sixth to eighth. The two teams finished the first half tied, but Kentucky was overwhelming in the second half, outscoring their opponents 37-25.

Coach John Calipari is crediting his team's success to unselfish play on offense to compliment a big, athletic, and physical defense. Against Texas, it was center Wille Cauley-Stein, who scored 21 points, pulled down 12 rebounds, blocked three shots and registered five steals.

"You know, what we were doing is we were running an offense that it didn't matter who's making the play. What I like is Willie wanted to make the play," Calipari said in his post-game news conference. "See, guys that make those clutch or game winners are not afraid to miss the game winner. Now, if I see a guy in that situation have a play that he can make and he won't make the play because he just - well, you're out. You can't be afraid to make the play."

After beating Wisconsin (5) to stay undefeated, Duke (2) moved up to take their place behind Kentucky. It was their only game of the whole week, but Duke put up 80 points on a defense that was only allowing an average of about 50 per game.

Also remaining undefeated in the AP's top 10 is Arizona (3), Louisville (4), Virginia (6) and Villanova (7). Washington (17) and Northern Iowa (23) are the only other undefeated teams in the poll.

Kentucky will play UNC (21) this week on Dec. 13 and their next major challenge after that is Louisville two weeks later. In Kentucky's march to enter their SEC schedule unbeaten, those two matchups figure to be their biggest potential stumbling blocks.
