The iPhone 6 is finally unveiled, meaning there is no more need for speculating on what will or will not make the final product, so what's so great about it?

The central rumor ahead of Apple's event Tuesday was that the iPhone would be bigger than ever, opening a whole new set of expectations. For example, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus have added battery bower and a sharper display to take advantage of the extra screen space.

Here are the 6 best features of Apple's iPhone 6.

1.     It's thin, really thin

At 6.9mm and 7.1mm respectively, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are proportionately thinner than ever, but Apple also revamped the handset's design. The company described it as a "smooth, seamless bond of metal and glass that feels like one continuous surface."

2.     Apple Pay is a potential game changer

Apple Pay will be an iOS 8 update in Oct., but just for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. In the on-stage demonstration for Apple Pay, the company indicated paying could be as easy as holding the handset near the cash register while holding one's finger over the Touch ID fingerprint scanner. With agreements with major credit cards and retailers, Apple Pay aims to eliminate the need for a physical wallet.

3.     The camera is apparently better too

Apple's iSight Camera did not get a megapixel boost, but the 8MP camera has something called "focus pixels" that Apple says will speed up autofocus. The new camera, which boasts 1.5µ pixels and an aperture of ƒ/2.2, also claims to have better "face detection and exposure control."

4.     Expectedly so, it's faster

It has a 64-bit architecture, an A8 processing chip and an M8 motion processor, maximizing the benefits of such a large screen. Not only will the display look great, but what appears on it will too.

5.     It has a barometer

Now, weather reports will be more accurate than ever, apparently.

6.     The Health app is well...

Forbes noted the Mayo Clinic was notably missing from Apple's official description of the Health app. Apple was supposedly discussing its Health app with the Mayo Clinic and other health care groups, but all it seems to be good for is fitness. Apple may add more comprehensiveness to the Health app sometime in the future.
