The University of Central Florida will collaborate with Glassdoor, the leading global jobs and career community, to help its students identify and launch successful careers.

The career website, which aggregates reviews and salary information about companies from current and former employees, will be integrated into the school's Career Professionalism curriculum starting Fall 2014. The new series of classes was designed to prepare students with the skills and knowledge to job search efficiently and get hired after graduation, Inside Higher Ed reported.

"We are working to build an experience for students that gives them a distinct advantage in the marketplace and this partnership is another asset in delivering on that experience," Paul Jarley, College of Business Administration dean at the University of Central Florida, said in a statement. "Our Office of Professional Development and the corresponding class are truly innovative opportunities to provide our students with access to information, resources and people that will make a difference in their education; and it sets the UCF College of Business apart in the landscape of business education."

This partnership signifies the first time Glassdoor will be incorporated into higher education curriculum, underscoring the value of empowering tomorrow's workforce early on with information to make more informed career decisions.

Given that more than six in ten employees report job realities differ from expectations set during the interview process, according to a Glassdoor survey, this partnership will help narrow the gap in the future, and better match potential talent with the right employers.

"As a company, we are committed to helping college students learn about workplace transparency and providing them with the information to find the right jobs and companies," said Jim Buttimer, Glassdoor vice president of business development. "We're excited to partner with the University of Central Florida, and we encourage all universities to follow their lead in preparing students for the job market with this proactive and innovative approach."

Glassdoor currently partners with more than 1,000 colleges and universities to give students free and easy access to all content on Glassdoor.
