Television, film and music each have their own award show(s), but for sports, there is only the ESPYS and the 2014 event did not disappoint.

Say what you will about Drake's performance as host, but consider his job has been done in the past by personalities like Rob Riggle and Jon Hamm. Contrary to the Emmys or Oscars, the ESPYS do not have trained actors ready to hop onto a bit and run with it.

Still, Drake managed to get Lance Stephenson to blow into Paul George's ear with him. As the ESPYS have proven in the past, live broadcasts of sporting events are the only time most athletes are comfortable on television.

But if any pro athlete is good in a sketch, it's Blake Griffin.

The "Drake vs. Blake" skit, featuring a surprise appearance from "America's sweetheart, Chris Brown," was a winner. Dressed as Griffin, Drake appeared on a fake episode of Bill Simmons' B.S. Report and delivered a line that will not soon be forgotten.

"I kind of look like a black guy that jumped into a pile of Cheetos and just laid there for like 10 days and then popped up."

Griffin then appeared on stage with Brown to announce he would be the new host, which is something ESPN should seriously consider in the future: an athlete hosting the ESPYS, but better yet, Blake Griffin.

"You're probably wondering where Drake is, uh, Drake decided he hates you all and didn't care about you and left."
