An online university is offering a free women's studies course that offers a different perspective on feminism than what is being taught on liberal college campuses, Campus Reform reported.

Conservative University is offering the six-week course "Sex, Lies, and Women's Studies." The course began June 27 with a lesson titled "Deconstructing 'Women's Studies'" taught by Network of Enlightened Women President Karin Agness.

Agness' lesson, which gives an "overview of current women's studies programs and centers," said women studies are failing to properly educate college females because "These programs are often hostile to conservative or alternative viewpoints" and "assume the sexes are hostile to each other, focusing on inequality."

A post on Jezebel, a blog aimed at women's interests, accused Agness of relying "on a rhetorical technique that I refer to as a 'stupidity superstorm' ... and hinges on the bizarre conservative panic over the fragility of beliefs that could be easily toppled by spending time around conflicting opinions."

Other women scheduled to teach classes are Economics21 Director Diana Furchtgott-Roth, Star Parker, president for the Center for Urban Renewal and Education, Independent Women's Forum Director of Health Hadley Heath, and authors Kate Obenshain and Mona Charen.

Conservative University, a free online education initiative, was created by Accuracy in Academia "to combat the liberal feminist ideology present at many universities," Townhall.com reported.

Executive Director of Accuracy in Academia Mal Kline told Campus Reform that her organization, which has been covering women's studies courses for a while, has decided to create their own "because we thought we could add something they lack -- accuracy."

"Whether the issue be health care, salaries by gender or any of the so-called social issues, the curricula that spawned the alleged 'war on women' contains much misinformation," Kline said.
