Microsoft and Apple have recently rolled out new tablets that are designed for creativity as well as productivity. Microsoft unveiled the Surface Pro at an event in May. The Surface Pro is available with a more accurate stylus input and a longer battery life. Meanwhile, the new iPad Pro is available with an upgraded processor, improved screen technology and a new size option.

Apple's new iPad Pro runs on iOS mobile operating system, which comes along with more than two million apps. Users of the new iPad Pro can feel comfortable knowing that when the latest app rolls out, there's a possibility that the app will be available for the powerful iOS tablet, TIME reported.

Apple's iPad Pro 12.9-inch model features a 2732 x 2048 pixel resolution. The Cupertino based tech giant claims the Apple A10X Fusion chip inside the new tablet delivers 30 percent faster CPU and 40 percent faster GPU compared to the previous generation variants. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro is available with a 64GB of internal storage. The Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch also sports a 12MP primary snapper and a 7MP front shooter for selfies.

Meanwhile, Microsoft's newest 2-in-1 laptop, Surface Pro, features a 12.30-inch IPS PixelSense display along with a 1824 x 2736 pixel resolution. The Redmond, Washington based tech giant launched the Surface Pro 2017 with Intel's 7th-gen Kaby Lake processor as well as an Iris Plus integrated graphics, Forbes reported.

The new Microsoft Surface Pro is equipped with a 4GB of RAM paired with a 128GB of internal storage. Microsoft's newest 2-in-1 laptop runs on Windows 10. The Microsoft Surface Pro is available with an 8MP primary shooter and a 5MP front camera for selfies.

That being said, the iPad Pro functions better as a tablet overall, the Surface Pro, on the other hand, is more capable of replacing a PC. In spite of that, Microsoft's Surface Pro 2017 seems to be more powerful than the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
