Nextbit Robin smartphone users can now avail the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. The latest Android operating system comes in at 560 MB and brings the April 2017 Android security patch.

Users of the Nextbit Robin smartphone are getting the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. The update file of the Android 7.1.1 Nougat weighs in at 560MB, so the Nextbit Robin smartphone user needs to be on a steady Wi-Fi connection before pressing the download button. The Android 7.1.1 Nougat update also brings the April 2017 Android security patch, Android Authority reported.

Nonetheless, the Nextbit Robin smartphone first rolled out with the Android Marshmallow back in 2015. Later, the tech giant was able to release the Android 7.0 Nougat update last March 2017. Currently, the factory image of the Android 7.1.1 Nougat is also available for Nextbit Robin smartphone.

The Nextbit Robin smartphone is considered as one of the best mid-range handsets with its unique features. But, Nextbit Robin smartphone's software update history is somewhat very interesting.

Meanwhile, Motorola's Moto Z Play Android smartphone is currently starting its soak test for the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. Several Moto Z Play smartphone users have begun to get the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. Since the smartphone does pack the Android 7.0 Nougat on board, the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is not a big one.

The new update comes along with a bunch of other changes, such as stability improvements and security patches. Once a Moto Z Play Android smartphone user installs the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update, the user will be able to utilize the update's features, which include improved notification controls, multitasking features, as well as a better data saver and battery features, The Android Soul reported.
