iPad Pro Mini Update: Apple to Upgrade The Mini Tablet with More RAM, Better Display, Cutting-Edge Design [VIDEO]

By

The iPad Pro Mini is reportedly going to be part of the iPad Pro 2 launch. More evidences are pointing at WWDC release date.

If iPad Pro Mini will materialize later this year, it will be a brand new iPad tablet variant. It is unlikely to be an iterative upgrade of the iPad Mini 4 since the former does not contain any Pro feature. What comes with the 'Pro' is the Apple Pencil and additional Smart Keyboard - which do not come cheap.

And unlike the low-cost iPad, the iPad Pro Mini will be getting a faster processor that will differentiate the tablets' performance. The upcoming iPad Pro 2 lineups will contain A10x Fusion chip - which boosts performance for smoother navigation.

The current iPad Mini 4 gets 2GB RAM and so does the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. Apple is unlikely to stick with the same configuration for this year iPads. It is safe to assume that the iPad Pro Mini will get a storage bump - possibly 3GB, 64GB as the base model. The TrueTone display will most likely to feature in the iPad Pro Mini just like its larger siblings, NewAtlas reported.

Additional evidences suggest that the 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 will be bezel-less. That said, the iPad Pro Mini could be getting similar treatment as Apple reportedly prepares the next-gen iPad Pro with 3D Touch, refined ports and a fingerprint sensor.

Apple WWDC Event

The rumors are getting strong that Apple will unveil the iPad Pro 2 at WWDC event along with Apple Pencil 2. It makes sense because WWDC is a huge event where important announcements should be made. For example, the iOS 11 introduction will happen at WWDC and more added features are expected to be unveiled as well, 9to5Mac reported.

Do you think iPad Pro Mini will be making an appearance at WWDC 2017?
