Xiaomi Mi 6 With High-End Specs, Low-End Pricing Is Definitely A Strong Competitor To Samsung Galaxy S8 [VIDEO]

Every tech giant this year will be releasing their best Android smartphones yet, and the Chinese tech company Xiaomi is no exception. Xiaomi's Mi 6 Android smartphone with high-end specs and low-end pricing will be a strong competitor to Samsung's Galaxy S8.

In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is a hard one to beat. The full-display front of the Samsung Galaxy S8, dubbed as the Infinity Display, is setting the bar high for future flagship smartphones. Nonetheless, the Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone still looks pretty good, although a bit generic.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 sports a slightly curved 5.15-inch display with top and bottom bezels. The Xiaomi Mi 6 still has a home button, which means the back of the device only houses the dual cameras.

Just like the Samsung Galaxy S8, the Xiaomi Mi 6 also boasts Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset. With 6GB of RAM, the Xiaomi Mi 6 outperforms the 4GB of RAM of Galaxy S8. The Xiaomi Mi 6's 3,350 mAh battery is also an advantage over Samsung Galaxy S8's 3,000 mAh battery, Gadgets Post reported.

Nonetheless, Samsung's flagship trumps the Chinese handset when it comes to features. The Xiaomi Mi 6 offers only a fingerprint scanner as an unlocker, while the Samsung Galaxy S8 comes along with an iris and face recognition technology on top of it.

In terms of camera specs, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Android smartphone has dual rear 12MP shooters. The standard lens boasts an f/1.8 aperture, while the second lens has a f/2.6 telephoto lens. This two-camera setup of Xiaomi Mi 6 is much closer to the implementation of Apple's iPhone 7. The Samsung Galaxy S8, on the other hand, has only one rear shooter, a 12MP f/1.7 snapper, Forbes reported.

Samsung is selling the Galaxy S8 for $850, while the Xiaomi Mi 6 will have a $350 price tag. The Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone will be up for grabs on April 28.
