Huawei P10 could actually dethrone Galaxy S8 with the powerful innards. From the dual-camera setup to massive RAM, the hardware choices are seemingly more appealing.

Samsung has not yet to reveal Galaxy S8 although the commercial video is stealing the attention at the moment. The specifications are already brought to the table and everybody is now comparing the impending flagship with the powerhouse phone, Huawei P10.

Specs-wise, Huawei P10 offers dual-camera setup, Leica optics with 20MP and 12MP sensors. There is PDAF, dual LED flash and OIS features that promise steady, sharp shots. As a 5.1-inch smartphone, the P10 packs a punch with Kirin 960 processor and 4 gigs of RAM on board. There are two versions of internal storage, 32GB and 64GB.

The Huawei P10 Plus, is another premium handset pitted against Galaxy S8 Plus. The elegant finish offers high-class feel that matches with the price. Huawei's distinct user interface is also a selling point of this phone. How about VR? Huawei P10 promises a full throttling experience when you use the device for gaming.

To put into perspective, Samsung Galaxy S8 is a bigger device with 5.8-inch display sporting Snapdragon 835 chipset. Samsung flagship packs smaller battery capacity and lesser pixels than Huawei P10. On paper, Huawei's premium device is already a winner. In reality, analyst Brian White of Drexel Hamilton predicts that the Chinese phonemaker will surpass Samsung in terms of fame and popularity. In fact, White believes that Huawei could actually become a fierce rival of Apple in the future, CNBC reported.

One thing that Huawei P10 lacks of, is the wireless charging feature that Galaxy S7 and the upcoming Galaxy S8 will be equipped with. A recent comparison at Geekbench shows how Huawei P10 Plus leads the competition on single and multi-core performance test. Since both use Kirin 960, the P10 model is highly likely to have a powerful result as well, Alphr reported.

For consumers who are looking for a Pixel phone alternative, Huawei P10 can be a great companion for photography enthusiasts. It has the quality in any area. Check out Huawei P10 camera review in the video below!
