Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft can help students make money between classes and off hours. Lifeguarding is a good way to make money during long summer breaks. No experience or degree is required for TaskRabbit. Some of the jobs posted include basic home repairs, running errands, house cleaning, assembling furniture or moving heavy stuff. Selling insurance can pave way for a career.

Clean up jobs also pay well for commercial real estate business, were college kids clean up and maintain vacant buildings. Animal lovers can works as a dog walker. Tutoring work can also be found online at Care.com and rates can range more than $15/hour.

Babysitting jobs can be easily found online through SitterCity and Care.com. Personal Care Aide jobs have also increased 18 percent since 2015. Renting stuff out like a spare bedroom or a car for rent can help students earn extra dollars.

Scholarships aren't really a side job but it can cover the next semester costs and reduce the amount of student loans.
