Going with the latest Microsoft Surface Pro 5 updates, the device is expected to run on AMD's all-new Ryzen chips. Reports about the Surface Pro 5 with AMD Ryzen processor chips came up after 20th Century Fox unleashed a trailer for its "Alien: Covenant" film, PC Advisor reported. The film's trailer reportedly displayed Microsoft's new Surface device being used by a scientist. Then, a chip with AMD's logo was embedded in Michael Fassbender's character, Walter.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 was previously reported would be powered by Intel's 7th-gen Core Kaby Lake processor. The Redmond, Washington based tech giant need to pitch in an official announcement if they tend to choose rival AMD over Intel for the highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Nonetheless, it's not only AMD Ryzen chip that will be making its way into the upcoming Microsoft device, it appears that the Surface Pro 5 will also come along with the latest Windows 10 Creator Update.

In terms about other specs of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, the powerful, ultrathin laptop is speculated to feature a 4K Ultra HD display, a 16GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage, an upgraded Surface Pen stylus and a 12.3-inch screen. There are also reports claiming that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might support the Hololens and the Surface Dial on release.

As for the release date, reports are rampant on the web that the Surface Pro 5 rolls out in Spring 2017. On the contrary, according to Mobi Picker, the hybrid device will be unveiled in October 2017.
