Coolest College Startup: Student Companies Chosen For Inc's Competition - Part 2
By Emily MarksInc. has chosen 16 startups founded by college and graduate students from various colleges and universities in the United States to take part in its Coolest College Startup competition. The winner will be announced on Apr. 4.
The companies will be battling it out within the next few weeks to win. According to Inc., Round 1 of voting will be from Mar. 14, 9 a.m. EST to 5 p.m. EST on Mar. 17, Friday. Four favorite startups will be chosen by then.
Round 2 will be from Mar. 20 to Mar. 24, with 4 match-ups. Round 3 will be from Mar. 27 to Mar. 31. The Championship round will be on Apr. 3, 9 a.m. with the final two startups and the winner will be announced the next day.

Find Your Ditto is a platform for individuals with chronic illnesses to connect with others who are experiencing the same disease. This is intended to provide peer support. Co-founder Brianna Wolin, from the University of Michigan, is also a chronic illness patient.
The startup has been described as "a leading innovator in dorm room television and monitor mounting technology." Founder Sam Lukach gained inspiration when he went to UW-Whitewater and found that he did not have enough space to hang his TV on his dorm room. He then proceeded to borrow equipment from the hardware store and created the TV mounts.
KinoSol is a product solution startup with the goal of eliminating food waste on a global scale. Their first product is KinoSol Orenda, a solar-powered food dehydrator which helps farmer decrease their post-harvest loss every year. The founders are from Iowa State University.
This interactive app aims to promote fun and local tourism. Kwest provides users with "a unique and gamified way" to explore cities. It was developed by two University of Texas - Dallas business school graduates: Omeed Shams and Andrew Brown.
Created by Georgetown University students, Microcoaching provides gamers with an easy way to connect with each other. It is described as an on-demand video game coaching marketplace.
