‘Injustice 2’ Latest Update: ‘Injustice 2’ Director Ed Boon Reveals Firestorm To Join The Roster, More Characters Coming [VIDEO]

By

DC Entertainment previously launched a trailer (dubbed as Shattered Alliance) for the upcoming fighting video game "Injustice 2," which showcased how Superman became Earth's greatest threat. Apparently, the YouTube channel UpUpDownDown shared a video that revealed the character Firestorm will definitely join the roster.

The YouTube video of UpUpDownDown shows how the American video game programmer Ed Boon revealed that Firestorm will join the "Injustice 2" roster, according to VG 24/7. Boon's revelation was then followed by a glimpse of Firestorm beating people up. In the gameplay of "Injustice 2" (starting at around 7:45 in the YouTube video), Firestorm was shown to be a far-range character who can attack from a distance.

Nevertheless, aside from Firestorm, eight DLC characters will likely join within the "Injustice 2" game. While the names of the eight characters have not been announced, previous reports hinted that the possible list of playable characters will be added in the game include Red Hood, Starfire, Black Adam, The Comedian, John Constantine Vixen, Spawn and Beast Boy. Sub-Zero is rumored to be a guest character.

On the other hand, game producer Boon along with lead game designer Derek Kirtzic stated that gamers will not worry about the effects of the gear system in the upcoming game's online gameplay, Game Reactor reported. One of the "Injustice 2's" online features, dubbed as the ranked match, will let player retain their look. As for the loot boxes and microtransaction of "Injustice 2," the lead game designer said that if gamers will play different game modes and unlocked in the form of motherboxes, those gamers can access loots. Also, gamers can unlock more motherboxes by means of an in-game currency, which means "Injustice 2" players will not need real world money.

The upcoming "Injustice 2" video game is slated to launch for the PS4 and Xbox One on May 16.
