‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Latest News & Update: Ethan Korver Confirms Small Cameo Role For Sequel

By

“Red Dead Redemption 2” is well on course for a release in the fall though most would prefer to get an idea of the sequel. So far, details on how to get hold of RDR2, the protagonists and game plots have been scarce though there are breadcrumbs already out.

As far as the characters for “Red Dead Redemption 2,” there is no official revelation on who the main protagonists will actually be. Some ponder on the possible return of some playable characters from the first installment though a look at the poster shows seven gunmen walking against a red background, Cinema Blend reported. Could there be seven characters or seven adversaries for gamers to conquer?

Ethan Korver will be one of the cowboys for RDR2

Aside from that observation, voice actor Ethan Korver has been confirmed as one of the background characters though he will not be credited for it. Korver will be the voice for one of the cowboys, something that is not necessarily new ground, Gaming Bolt reported.

Korver has done minor voice-over work before. Among the games where he has done so include “Eli” on “State of Decay,” “Dolph” in “Far Cry 4,” and “Alexander” in “Just Cause 2.” He reiterated on Twitter that he is not a main cast member but a backup.

What we know so far about "Red Dead Redemption 2"

Aside from that, there is the Denuvo spotting of “Red Dead Redemption 2.” For the ones unfamiliar with it, Denuvo is a platform that acts as digital police for PC games. If the sighting is any indication, folks who want to play “Red Dead Redemption 2” can only do so but only if they buy an authentic copy of the game.

Rockstar has not come out to make anything official about the possible use of Denuvo in the future. “Red Dead Redemption 2” is set to come out in the fall for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There is no word yet on a PC version though gamers have gone as far to petition for one to come out. There are reportedly over 50,000 signatures as of this writing.
