The Google Pixel and Pixel XL are two devices that easily stand out, offering striking features such as a nifty camera enclosed in an elegant design. It is considered a good alternative to Samsung and the iPhone though it comes at a price.

One other striking feature that folks will find handy is the Google Assistant of the Google Pixel. It is one of the most natural, human approaches to answering via voice according to the review made by CNet. But all that can only make sense if the microphone is working properly. Right now, it seems that some Google Pixel and Pixel XL owners are encountering audio issues and the problem has yet to be resolved.

Some owners experiencing Google Pixel and Pixel XL microphone problems have brought it up at the Google support page. The problem even includes audio input issues, inconsistently arising when recording video on the camera app. Some of the attending tech support people have claim that the issue may be tied up to the failure-causing physical default in one of the three microphones of the Google Pixel. There is also the possibility that the problem stems from the hairline crack in the soldering of the mic.

Whatever the problem may be, Google Pixel and Pixel XL owners affected by it are advised to seek a replacement from Google. The phone is still under warranty but the downside is that the replacement may end up offering the same problem.

Compared to having someone else outside Google take a look at it, seeking a Google Pixel replacement is seen as the better option. Owners don’t have to worry about aggravating the issue and voiding warranty. Hardware problems on smartphones is nothing new but the best resolution for most is to take it up with an authorized service center if not the company itself. It may be an inconvenience but even other brands have encountered similar issues in the past as pointed out by Phone Arena.
