New research reports from Blanco Technology Group suggests that iPhone failure rate is higher than Android phones for the past year. The study even revealed that Apple smartphones, especially the iPhone 6, are host of system issues such as camera problems, battery issues and other hardware failures.

Google Outscores Apple with Lower Failure Rate

For the past year, significant improvements on Android phones are apparent most especially when Google released Android Nougat last August. The latest Android's beta version has brought new features, security patches and bug fixes that resulted to the reduction of concerns received from Android users.

With this regard, Android's failure rate has reduced to 47 percent which is surprisingly lower than Apple's purported high-performing iPhones which has a failure rate of 62 percent. According to BGR, among the iOS devices, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s are the worst performer since the first quarter of 2016 due to the handset's performance hiccups, various system issues and hardware-related concerns like battery defects.

On the other hand, Blanco Technology Group however did not forget to mention that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery fiasco is the worst thing that ever happened to Android phones. But recently, software updates have seized complicated Android problems to mundane issues such as battery charging, camera performance and USB glitches.

iPhones are Far Less Reliable than Android Phones

Of what was considered as the "most trusted" smartphones in the world has now become a host of software and hardware issues.  The study conducted by Blanco Technology Group has concluded that iPhones are far less reliable than Android phones, Cult of Mac reported.

To be more specific, aside from the recent battery defects which lead to automatic iPhone 5 and iPhone 6s shutdown, crashing apps, headphone malfunctions and overheating are the most notable issues that plagued the worst-performing iOS device.
