'Overwatch' Update Reveals Missing Gauntlet; Next Playable Character Confirmed

By

Blizzard has been wetting the beaks of "Overwatch" fans lately. The latest being a tease about a possible playable character that diehard fans have been asking for in the past. While the new update lets gamers try out upcoming changes, this only indicates one thing: Doomfist.

"Overwatch" Update: A Closer Look To The Teasers

Blizzard released a teaser image for "Overwatch", which shows a very familiar place - Numbani, which looked utterly destroyed. The OR15 defense robots pile up powerleless over each other. One of them was even stuck on a wall, Polygon reported.

The image was released on the game's Twitter account. It says that the defense units were attacked by an unidentified assailant. While the place looks chaotic, the teaser reported that there are no civilian casualties.

Who is Doomfist?

"Overwatch" fans have been hoping that Blizzard will finally give them what they're asking for; that the next playable character in "Overwtach" is Doomfist. The first time Doomfist was asked to be an "Overwatch" hero, Blizzard just ruled it out. But there's a clue in the teaser image that will finally make the fans very excited.

Doomfist is an evil force whose character looms in the shadows. Fans have been interested in him and his protected gauntlet since the game was released in 2014.

In the gameplay, many have pursued the protected gauntlet and all of them failed. That's because it's severely protected inside a payload vehicle in the Numbani map. However, the teaser images reveal two things: that the place was under attack and all who dwelt within perished, and that Doomfist's gauntlet appears to be stolen, Express UK reported.

It only means the heroes are facing a new villain - someone they clearly haven't met before. OR it could only mean that Doomfist himself is back and succeeded where most have failed - in stealing/retrieving his own gauntlet.
