Microsoft Xbox One Games With Gold Announced, 'Evolve' And 'Borderlands 2' Top March's Xbox Freebies

Microsoft Xbox One is getting another big news next week. The software giant has announced the lineup of free games that the Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download and play on their game console next week. The company made the huge announcement this week.

According to GameSpot, the Redmond-based software company has finally revealed to the world the company's March's Games with Gold lineup for Xbox One and Xbox 360 Gold subscribers.

In the Microsoft's Xbox Games with Gold, Xbox One owners will get their taste of the newly released horror game "Layers of Fear" along with the Turtle Rock's first-person shooter game "Evolve.".

On the other hand, those in the Xbox 360 console can get their hands on PopCap Games' the side-scrolling shoot 'em up video game "Heavy Weapon" and another first-person shooter game "Borderlands 2." Both games will be made available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One via backward compatibility.

Evolve, which was developed by Turtle Rock, the company behind the hit "Left 4 Dead," was turned into a free-to-play game on PC last year. The game is expected to see the same change on game consoles, but the developer, Turtle Rock, has decided to stop works on the game.

First released in 2016, "Layers of Fear" is a psychological horror video game that been developed by Bloober Team for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Linux OS and Apple OS X. Starting March 1, Xbox owners that subscribe to Xbox LIVE Gold will be able to download these games for free.

Additionally, some of February's free titles will still be available until next week. The first games of the Xbox Games with Gold will hit the gaming world on March 1.

Here's the full details of the March's Games with Gold: For Xbox One- "Layers of Fear" (from March 1 to March 31) and "Evolve" (from March 16 to April 15). For Xbox 360- "Borderlands 2" (from March 1 to March 15) and "Heavy Weapon" (from March 16 to March 31).
