'Rick And Morty' Staff Writer Mike McMahan On Series Development

According to his series of tweets, Mike McMahan (pleaseprint) tells his followers what seems to be a little update about the show. In his post, he calls out everyone regarding his Feb. 19 tweet that teases the current recording of RAM.

In the said post, he asks "Rick and Morty" official social media account if it is fine to announce that they are about to record episode 301 that day. As a result, fans suddenly flocked the post and tweeted their thoughts about it.

Two days after, McMahan followed his tweet with another message calling out the fans who went gaga over his tweet.

"Everyone: stop going bonkers about something from 12 months ago," he says with an attached photo of his announcement on Sunday. The image has a red circle to when the script was drafted and an arrow pointing to his caption that day.

"It's 2017, elephant people should be allowed to get married and be happy," adds McMahan.

Adding on to his update, though he did not reveal the possible "Rick and Morty" season 3 release date, in his other tweet, he obviously hinted another "bad news" to the fans.

"I'm excited for you to see season 3 too," McMahan noted before adding "but if we just started recording last week that would be BAD news, you crazy animals."

Based on his tweet, it seems like the new episodes of "Rick and Morty" season 3 will not come anytime soon. And probably, as per Den of Geek's report, it will not be released "for another year and a half".

This is, by far, confirmed by Dan Harmon as well. He reveals to Indiewire that he still has no airdate to announce as of the moment. The delay is, as per his interview, was due to him and Justin Roiland.

'Rick and Morty' Season 3 Spoilers, Additional Update

As for the other details, in the height of the fans' excitement, Adult Swim suddenly releases an alleged teaser for "Rick and Morty" season 3 opening scene.

The caption says: "Rejoice! It's finally here! Coming to you straight from the vaults of Adult Swim. Kick off your shoes and sit back for a peek at a new song."

However, the catch is, Adult Swim is only playing tricks to everybody as the said "opening scene" comes from the previous episodes of seasons one and two. The company trolled the fans.

As of writing, what is really known so far is the "Rick and Morty" season 3 team has yet to release any clips for the upcoming installment. With a reported 14 episodes, Adult Swim, as well as the other writers, has yet to give further details about RAM.
